THE CHALLENGE
An independent music-and-arts festival adjacent to the Calgary Stampede — same 10-day window, 40,000 total attendees, multi-stage layout, alcohol service on-site, VIP dressing rooms, and overnight equipment security. The producer had experienced a violent altercation and merchandise theft at their previous year's event.

THE APPROACH
Tiered event operations: bag-check gates with metal-detector lanes, plainclothes internal roving, VIP dressing-room close-protection, alcohol compliance officers, and overnight asset lock-down between event days. Radio-net discipline briefed and rehearsed 48 hours before opening. Coordinated with Calgary Police Service and EMS for the 10-day window.
