THE CHALLENGE
A pipeline construction project in the Peace Country required 24/7 camp gatehouse, right-of-way patrol, contractor sign-in gating, and environmental protest management — 400km from the nearest urban command post. Previous vendor had abandoned the project citing manpower and logistics.

THE APPROACH
A self-contained Alberta Security Services crew with camp allowance, 12-hour shift rotations, and radio-linked patrol vehicles. Winter-equipped fleet. All officers CSO, H2S Alive, CSTS, First Aid certified. Environmental protest de-escalation was rehearsed with RCMP liaison before the first day of protest activity.

THE OUTCOME
- Zero site downtime attributable to security incidents
- 9 documented environmental protest events — all de-escalated without arrest
- Contractor gate throughput increased 34%
- Retained through pipeline commissioning and into ongoing operations phase
